Jan Stewart

Jan Stewart is a highly regarded mental health governance expert and advocate, and the mother of two now-grown children with multiple, complex mental health disorders. Her board experience includes currently serving as Chair of the Nominations & Governance Committee at Kerry’s Place Autism Services and previously as Vice Chair and Chair of the Governance Committee at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She also served on the Advisory Board of LIGHTS, a partnership with Community Living Toronto that enables housing for the intellectually disabled, and on the Advisory Council of ACCESS Open Minds, a research network to bring about transformational change in addressing adolescent and youth mental health and well-being across Canada.

Professionally, Jan spent 25 years in executive and board search and assessment as a senior partner with the global executive search firm Egon Zehnder, followed by five years as executive-in-residence/graduate careers coach with the Ted Rogers School of Management.

Jan is a Diamond Life Master in bridge and enjoys genealogy, dancing, and fitness.
