Josh Bonkowsky, MD
Dr. Josh Bonkowsky is a Professor of Pediatric Neurology at Primary Children’s Hospital and the University of Utah. After graduating from Harvard College, he obtained his MD and PhD degrees at the University of California, San Diego, and did Pediatrics and Neurology/Pediatric Neurology training at the University of Utah and Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Bonkowsky is both a clinician and a scientist. His focus is on neurogenetic conditions and particularly leukodystrophies, a group of rare, genetic neurological disorders that strike the white matter of the brain. The Bonkowsky Laboratory studies leukodystrophies and is developing new treatments and therapies. On sunny afternoons,
